Crimson Rambler

Crimson Rambler

Crimson Rambler is a cultivar of I. purpurea. They have red blooms with white centers. The leaves are heart-shaped. Be careful not to confuse it with Scarlett O'Hara which is a cultivar of I. nil and has solid red blooms and different leaves.

This is a Crimson Rambler in my mailbox planter. I have grown Crimson Rambler here for the past three summers. The soil is somewhat rich for morning glories but I seem to get a lot of blooms anyway.
